#1: Helmet

We all know that a helmet is an essential piece of our kit. Make sure that your helmet is in good working order. Straps and shell are not showing any signs of wear. Your helmet should be fitted properly. Make sure that it covers your forehead and that it fits snugly around your head.

#2: Suspension Bike

A full suspension or front suspension (Hardtail) is highly recommended for the ride. If you need a demo bike, please contact me as soon as possible and I will get you suited up with a demo bike.

#3: Water

Make sure to bring at least 2 bottles of water with you or a hydration pack with at least 1 Liter of water.

#4: Snack

Bring along your favorite snack with you, in case, you need a re-boost in energy along the ride.

#5: Appropriate Shoes

A good solid flat pair of thick-soled sneakers are perfect. Vans, Fivetens are some good examples. Or you could ride clipless if that is your preference. Running shoes style can also be worn if that is all you have.

#6: Cool Kit (Outfit)

Short sleeve or long sleeve t-shirt or jersey and a pair of long shorts with or without the inside padding. That's totally up to you. I don't like riding with padding, but I think most people do. I recommend a tall pair of socks that cover at least part of your calves.

#7: Padding (Optional)

Knee pads, shin guards and/or elbow pads can be worn to protect yourself.
